Hot, sweltering Orlando!

April 28th, 2009

I am so tired, I can barely keep my eyes open. I arrived back home late last night, and by the time I fought my way through baggage claim, drove home and got in bed, it was 2am. Up five hours later, and I was off to work. All I want to do is sleep, but someone has to make dinner, and although my husband likes to eat, he rarely ever cooks. But back to Orlando…
I got in on Thursday afternoon and once I checked into the Wyndam Resort and dropped my bags off at the room, I was off to the mixer. Drinks were a plenty, and so were the free books! Too bad the lines were too long. I had a snack, talked to a few aspiring authors and decided to do a little sight seeing. I hopped on a trolly and set off to explore…
I’ll share more of my adventure in Orlando, once I’ve rested and my mind is clear. Bye for now, friends!

With love,

Pamela

Romantic Times…

April 20th, 2009

Romantic Times BOOKLovers Convention here I come! Or rather, here we come. My sister is flying in from Atlanta and I know we are going to have an awesome time in Orlando. It’s my first RT convention and I have to admit I’m a little nervous. From what I’ve heard, it’s a crowded, busy, fun-filled weekend and although it sounds like it’s right up my alley, I’m worried I might get all loud and whatnot. I mean, Brenda Jackson is going to be there! And I’ve been wanting to meet her since I started reading African American romance novels back in 95′. I’ll finally be meeting my editor too which will be nice since we’ve been emaling back and forth for over a year. Yes, this is weekend is going to be off the hook!

Well, I hope to see some of you there. Only four more sleeps and I’ll be escaping this chilly weather and in sunny Orlando. YAY!!!

All the best,

Pamela Yaye
