Thanks to friend and fellow Harlequin author, Donna Alward, I got to read the Romantic Times review for my February release, LOVE ON THE ROCKS. I think a 4 star review is a great way to start off the year!
LOVE ON THE ROCKS (4) by Pamela Yaye: Commitment-phobic Warrick Carver waits too long to propose to Tangela Howard, who leaves and moves to Mexico for a year. The first time he sees her upon her return she’s on the cover of a magazine, looking thinner and totally different. Tangela is willing to settle for a good husband — even if it means missing out on a great love — but when Warrick makes an all-out effort to get her back she succumbs, believing that things will be different. But he hasn’t changed, and she breaks things off again leaving him devastated. Eventually, Tangela comes to realize that she hasn’t always handled their relationship the right way. Multilayered characters and a story that allows the reader to see their depth make this an entertaining story.
Be sure to enter my VALENTINE’S DAY CONTEST that begins on January 15!!!! More great prizes coming up!
Always,
Pamela Yaye

Another great review from Romance In Color. Passion Overtime received 4+ stars and the reviewer had this to say:
Kyra Dixon is the PR rep for Hollington. With the homecoming festivities heating up, the last thing Kyra needs is an unwelcome blast from the past. But she’s been given the plum job of helping sign hunky pro-football star Terrence Franklin as Hollington’s new head coach.
Ms. Yaye introduces two energetic, determined characters. Kyra has a successful career, her own home and is doing well for herself. Her problem is she can’t get over how her ex-fiancée dissed her. Add to the list, her issues with her father and Kyra doesn’t trust men or feel she will never find the right one. Terrence has a bit of an ego, but he soon learns that you can’t always be on top. He knows he has skeletons in his closet, but that we all have learned from our mistakes in life.
I found the main characters simmering on again off again relationship intriguing. I really understood Kyra’s dilemma and sympathized with her. But there are always two sides to the story and Kyra was carrying baggage when she and Terrence were together. Terrence is a prime example of big name athletics and their egotistical attitudes when they get put on celebrity status. Not hating at all, but some definitely go overboard. Just look at the divorces and paternity suits out there.
I enjoyed the twists and turns Ms. Yaye did throughout the story. Terrence actually became a guy I rooted for in the end. Their chemistry together could not be denied. The setting is nice and really added to the story. If you attended college and returned to your alma mater, this brought back memories. The secondary characters were an inspiration to the story as well. I really enjoyed reading this book and definitely recommend reading it along with the other series. You won’t be disappointed.
